British Railways Standard Class 4 tank locomotive in live steam, 1/32 scale, to run on Gauge One track.
A mixed traffic locomotive , equally at home with freight or passenger trains, based on former LMS designs and was used on commuter and outer suburban services. One hundred and fifty five were built: one hundred and thirty at Brighton, fifteen at Derby and ten at Doncaster between 1951 and 1956.
The model has slide valve operation, direction and speed are controlled with a 2.4Hz digital transmitter. Radio control can be switched off and the model can be controlled manually. Oil lubrication is steam boosted. A water top-up valve enables the pumping of water into the boiler whilst the model is in steam. Axles, buffers and couplings are sprung. Working cyclinder drain cocks are a special feature of this model. The boiler is fitted with steam pressure and water gauges. The model will haul at least seven of the Bowande premium quality brass coaches.
